Enquiries. When you use the contact form we ask for your name, email address, an optional phone number, what your enquiry is about, and your message. We use this to reply to you and to deal with your enquiry. Our legal basis is legitimate interests, and where your enquiry leads towards work, taking steps to enter into a contract with you. If you contact us directly by phone or email, we handle whatever you send us on the same basis.
The contact form does not store your details in a database on the website. It sends them to us as an email.
Business contacts we approach. We sometimes contact businesses we think would benefit from working with us, for example electrical contractors, M&E consultants, and architects. Where we do, we use business contact details taken from public sources such as company websites, LinkedIn, and Companies House: typically a name, job title, business email address, and company details. Our legal basis is legitimate interests: telling relevant businesses about services we believe are useful to them. If you would rather not hear from us, tell us and we will stop; we keep a suppression record so we do not contact you again.
These providers act as processors for us. Resend, Vercel, and Airtable process data in the United States; those transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and by the UK-US Data Bridge where the provider is certified under it.
This website does not set cookies and does not use advertising trackers.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookie-free, does not identify you, and does not follow you across other websites; we only see aggregate statistics such as which pages are visited and from which country. If you object to being counted, email info@robinsonautomate.co.uk.
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. If you become a client, the information forms part of our client records, which we keep for the duration of our work together and for 6 years afterwards, in line with tax and legal requirements. Business contacts we have approached are removed if you object or if the details are no longer accurate or relevant.
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, object to us using it, or ask for it in a portable format. Email info@robinsonautomate.co.uk and we will deal with it within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
