The brief

The owners had bought a property with an existing Loxone system, but the previous installer was unreachable, leaving no way to access it. The programming was set up for the previous owner: audio and some spotlights didn't work at all, one button labelled kitchen switched on the office lights, and presence sensors brought the lights up at full brightness in the middle of the night. The control cabinet and rack were poorly installed and tangled.

What we did

  • Traced every cable, device and light, and made a plan of what actually existed in the property.
  • Rebuilt the audio and CCTV cabinet to our standard, matching the existing cabinet.
  • Reprogrammed the whole house: lighting, heating, shading and audio.
  • Set up sleep mode so no lighting activates in bed without a deliberate touch of the pad.
  • New user profiles so the owners could finally control their own home.

The outcome

From owners who wanted to rip the whole system out, to a home that works the way it was intended. From mess to meticulous: tangled, unlabelled racks replaced with a re-engineered cabinet, cabling rerouted and labelled, components consolidated. Even the plant room is something you can show off.

"The system now operates perfectly."
